My Top Ten Flash Games of All Time

Introduction

Exciting, I know. These are my personal top ten flash games of all time. These games are all hosted on this website, but are taken from various other sites. I would like to thank the creators for putting together these awesome games. I hope you enjoy my list!

10. Bubble Trouble

Bubble Trouble is one of my favorite games (obviously if its on my top ten list!!). But seriously, it is a really fun and addictive game. The object of the game is to destroy all of the bubbles with your awesome gun. As you pop one bubble, two smaller ones appear in its place. This continues until they reach the tiniest size and then it completely disappears. Just like every game ever invented, the levels get progressively tougher. More bubbles appear, they get bigger, there are smaller spaces, etc. You get the idea. It can be player in both one and two player modes. You can customize the controls for each player so that they are easier to use.

9. Metal Slug

The original Metal Slug Flash is in a language that I do not understand. Regardless of this, it is still one hell of a fun game. You are this solider guy (I guess?) and go around shooting things, which is always cool. You have to save these old men who are tied up for some reason. Occassionally you have to bust out the frying pan when you are close to an opponent. You only get three lives in this game so it is very tough to beat. Personally, I have never beat the game but I am still addicted to it :). This is a very fun game with very simple controls and objectives which is always a win-win.

8. Super Mario World Flash

Its a me, Mario. Obviously Mario has to be in a games top ten list. Mario is clearly the most recognizable face in the video game industry. There are probably are dozens of Mario flash games (Many you can play on this site). But this one takes the cake. This is the best adaptation of the Mario franchise. It only contains levels from World 1, but it is still an amazing game. Just like the original Mario feel.

7. Curveball

Everybody should be familiar with the game Pong, one of the earliest games ever created. The object of the game was to bounce the ball off your paddle and try to score in the computer's goal without being scored upon. Here in the year 2010, with all our amazing graphics and gameplay, Curveball is still one of the best flash games available. Curveball is just a 3d rendition of Pong. You can now bounce the ball off of the walls and down the tunnel into the opponent's goal. You get points for scoring, speed, and making the ball curve. The beginning levels are quite easy, however the game gets much, much harder in a hurry. The furthest I have gotten is level 8 of 10. Even my super human powers could not keep up with the bouncing of the ball.

6. Indestructo Tank

Indestructo Tank, pretty awesome. You go around and destroy things. You basically run into missles that are launched at you to propel your tank off the ground. You then want to destroy as many helicopters as possible. After you beat the level, you can buy more vehicles that attack you so that you can get more points. You can buy different helicopters which shoot different missles at you. The goal is to destory as many things as possible!

5. Sonic the Hedgehog

We already had Mario in the lineup, so of course Sonic had to be there as well. But in this case, I think that Sonic has the better flash games. You can play all different types of modes, including the Main Game and Time Trial. And you can also choose from a variety of characters: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Cream. This game is just like the one for the Sega Genesis. There are many levels you can go through to experience that classic Sonic game you always loved.

4. Max Dirt Bike

For some reason, this game is just highly addictive. You have to go over obstacles to reach the finish line. The obstacles are various shapes that force your to climb over them. You control the rider of the dirt bike's speed and how far forward he is going. How fast can you complete the game.

3. Desktop Tower Defence

If you think Max Dirt Bike is addictive, this game is ten times worse. (If you don't find Max Dirt Bike addictive, than you clearly have no taste in flash games). When I was going to take the screenshot for this game, I ended up playing for about 20 minutes because I love this game so much. You want to build all different types of towers to stop the little minions from crossing your desk. As you progress further, you have to come up with a better strategy to stop the little minions. You have to do this make making sure they folllow a path where they take as much damage as possible.

2. Bloons

Bloons, such a great game, there are 278439 other Bloon games. However, I have posted the original here. This is just a great game. First of all because you are a monkey that gets to shoot things. A simple game that takes a second to learn, but years to master.

1. Helicopter Game

Drumroll please......... What a simple game, eh? Very basic concept, click the mouse and the helicopter goes up. Release the mouse and the helicopter goes down. Oh so simple, yet oh so addictive. I don't know what else to say about this amazing game.
